Visa to Uzbekistan: how to get visa to Uzbekistan?
A lot of people like travelling, but don't like getting a visa, because sometimes it is quite difficult and painful.
To ensure that the process of obtaining a visa does not seem so difficult, we decided during August to tell you about how the visa system works in the countries of Central Asia.
And we will start, of course, with Uzbekistan, because this year it significantly changed the rules for obtaining a visa to this country.
A few facts about the visa system of Uzbekistan:
- Uzbekistan has a visa-free regime with Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan (up to 60 days).
- Citizens of Israel, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey and Japan may stay in Uzbekistan without a visa within 30 days. After 30 days, citizens of these countries will be required to obtain an entry visa.
- Citizens of Japan should not pay a consular fee to obtain a visa to Uzbekistan.
- Since July 15, 2018 in Uzbekistan began to issue electronic visas for a single stay in the country for up to 30 days. The documents for the electronic visa will be considered within 3 working days, taking into account the day of filing for the visa. Payment will be made using international payment systems. The visa will be sent to the personal mail indicated at the time of application. An electronic visa will be valid for 90 days from the date of issue. The cost of an e-visa: $ 20. On the site you will be able to find out whether your country is on the list of countries that are eligible to receive an electronic visa. If your country is not on this list, then you will need to apply to the embassy or consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in your country.
- For citizens of 101 countries there is a visa-free regime for a period of 5 days, if they follow through Uzbekistan by transit on an airplane, but it is necessary to have an air ticket to a third country. The air carrier must also notify the border services of Uzbekistan about this. You will find a list of countries at the end of the article.
- Up to 16 years, children do not need a visa to Uzbekistan if they are going to a country with legal escorts, who has a visa and if they intend to stay in Uzbekistan for not more than 90 days. But children must always have a passport or other biometric travel document with them.
- Children who have reached the age of 16 must get a visa if their country does not have a visa-free regime.
- 51 countries do not need a special invitation from the travel agency or from a third party to obtain a visa to Uzbekistan. Tourists of these countries are issued multiple-entry visas valid for up to 1 month, and representatives of the business community can receive a multiple visa for up to 1 year. Documents are considered during 2 days without regard to the day of filing. You will find a list of countries at the end of the article.
- Regardless of the type of visa regime with your country, every foreign citizen must register after 3 days of arriving in Uzbekistan. If you stayed at a hotel, it will make for you a hotel. If you are staying elsewhere, then you need to register with the Emehmon special electronic program and pay the tourist fee.
- Stateless persons to obtain a visa to visit Uzbekistan, regardless of the country in which they live.
- You can not violate the terms of stay of your visa in Uzbekistan or the terms that apply for visa-free travel.
What documents are needed for an individual to obtain a visa to Uzbekistan?
1. Passport and copy of passport
2. Certificate from the place of work or from the place of study (except for pensioners and housewives).
3. Visa application form in 2 copies, filled in on the website
4. 2 color photos of passport size.
5. An invitation from an individual or legal entity, if your country is not on the list of countries, citizens can obtain a visa without special invitations.
6. A copy of the air ticket if you need to obtain a visa at the airport in Tashkent upon arrival in Uzbekistan.
