Mausoleum of the Samanids in Bukhara

Mausoleum of the Samanids was built in the 9th Century and is the burial place of Ismail Samani, the founder of the Samanid dynasty and his father.

It is considered the oldest building in Bukhara. According to one of the legends, this mausoleum was turned into a mausoleum from the Zoroastrian temple of the Sun. There is an opinion that the mausoleum is well preserved to the present day due to the fact that it was covered with a cultural layer until the 20th century.

It is located in Samani Park.

Opening hours: 10.00-17.00
