Poi Kalyan ensemble in Bukhara

The Poi Kalyan square is the central ancient square of Bukhara, consisting of Kalyan minaret (12th century), Kalyan mosque (12th century) and Miri Arab madrassah (16th century), construction started by the order of Arslan Khan in the 12th century.  Miri Arab madrassah was the only active madrasah in the USSR for a long time. 

Tourists for an additional fee can go inside the minaret. 

Visit to the square is included in a single ticket for the old part of Bukhara, which you can purchase in advance at the hotel or from tour operators. Located in the city center, near many hotels (Omar Khayam hotel, Minorai Kalon hotel, Orom hotel) and restaurants (Wishbone Bukhara, Silk Road Teahouse, Minor Cafe house, Dolon)
