Ulugbek Observatory in Samarkand

Ulugbek Observatory is one of the most famous observatories of the Middle Ages, was built by the famous scientist Ulugbek (grandson of Tamerlane) in 1424-1428.

Jamshid Al-Kashi, an andron and mathematician of those years, provided special tools. After him, the work on observation was continued by scientist Ali Kushchi.
